Grey Cube 113 temporarily occupies lockers of art institutions for experimental research in contemporary art and culture through curated artist commissions, exhibitions and public programmes, taking into account public interactions and creating temporary spaces of shared knowledge production.

Operating as a transient research & development project space, GC113 provides artists, researchers and students with a platform for experimenting with and revising traditional display formats while engaging visitors and communities in discussions around the making of knowledge and culture. Acting in the interstices of institutional spaces, GC113 negotiates from within existing operational models and structures. The ‘event’, in fact, is not the end product, but rather the catalyst for revising the terms through which knowledge from art and culture are produced and consumed.
